2004 RV Akademik Sergey Vavilov Cruise

RV Akademik Sergey Vavilov

R/V Akademik Sergey Vavilov belongs to the P.P.Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of Russian Academy of Sciences ( Moscow, Russia). The cruise took place in October – December 2004. The cruise area included an Atlantic transect from North Sea to Cape Town and then a crossing in the South Atlantic to Argentina. Three-hundred and fourteen (314) measurement series spanning 38 days were acquired during the cruise.

Dr. Sergey M. Sakerin from Institute of Atmospheric Optics, Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences (Tomsk, Russia) was a Principal Investigator for aerosol optical measurements, teaming with Dr. Dmitry M. Kabanov from the same institution.
