2013 RV Zero CO2 Cruise

RV Zero CO2

Zero CO2 is a yacht powered by a clean carbon-free auxiliary motor. It is a initiative of the Joseph Fourier University (Grenoble, France). The sailboat belongs to CEA LITEN (Grenoble, France).

The cruise took place in July – August 2013 within the framework of ChArMEx (the Chemistry-Aerosol Mediterranean Experiment; Principal Investigator - Dr. François Dulac, LSCE, France ) as part of the MISTRALS (Mediterranean Integrated Studies at Regional and Local Scales) program. The cruise area included Ligurian Sea. Forty seven measurement series spanning 18 days (July 22 - August 10) were acquired during the cruise.

Mr. Pierre Kermen from Joseph Fourier University (Grenoble, France) was the Principal Investigator for aerosol optical depth measurements. He and the crew (Marine Desert LCE (Marseille France), Clément Desjardin volunteer (Grenoble, France)) conducted measurements onboard.
