2009-2010 RV Melville Cruise
 

RV Melville

R/V Melville is a research vessel operated by Scripps Institution of Oceanography. The cruise took place in November - February 2009-2010. The cruise area included a Pacific latitudinal transect from Brisbane, Australia across the Southern Pacific to South America. The cruise ended at Valparaiso, Chile. Eighty (80) measurement series spanning 42 days were acquired during the cruise.

Dr. Norman B. Nelson from Institute for Computational Earth System Science ( Santa Barbara, CA) was a Principal Investigator for aerosol optical measurements and operated sunphotometer onboard assisted by Dr. Chantal Swan and Mr. K.G.Fairbarn from the same institution.
