2013 Okeanos Explorer Cruise

The NOAA ship Okeanos Explorer is known as America’s ship for ocean exploration. The cruise took place in March and April of 2013. The cruise area included the area off the east coast of the US in the North Atlantic Ocean. Additionally several series were acquired from the ship while at sea port of North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Nine measurement series spanning 4 days were acquired during the cruise and twelve (12) measurement series spanning 7 days at the sea port.

Mrs. Elizabeth (Meme) Lobecker from NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration and Resarch (Durham, NH) was the Principal Investigator for optical depth measurements and Mr. David Keith, Junior Officer on NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer operated a sunphotometer onboard.
