2012 MV Pelita Jaya Cruise
 

The MV Pelita Jaya is a passenger ferry. She belongs to the National Indonesian Shipping Company. A series of short cruises between Port Klang (Malaysia) and Dumai (Indonesia) took place in September - October 2012. The cruise area included Strait of Malacca. One hundred ninety five (195) measurement series spanning six days were acquired during the cruise.

Dr. Lim Hwee San from School of Physics, Universiti Sains Malaysia (Penang, Malaysia) was the Principal Investigator for optical depth measurements. Mr. Saumi Syahreza operated a sunphotometer onboard.
