Ecklonia

The R/V Ecklonia is a wooden hulled boat that is (25ft) 7m long with a 3m beam and is fitted with a 156 Hp Volvo Penta z-drive inbound diesel motor with duo props. She belongs to DEAT Marine and Coastal Management. Ms. Elisabeth Jane Robertson from Department of Oceanography, University of Cape Town (Cape Town, South Africa) conducted aerosol optical depth measurements during several cruises while servicing the mooring on the southern Benguela Namaqua shelf, three and a half kilometers offshore. Thirty-nine (39) measurement series spanning 14 days were acquired during the cruise.
