The Royal Research Ship James Cook is a British oceanographic research vessel. The cruise took place from December 2011 to January 2012 within the framework of the UK GEOTRACES programme. The cruise area included the region in the Southern Atlantic. Twenty-seven (27) measurement series spanning 16 days were acquired during the cruise.
Dr. Alex Baker from the University of East Anglia (Norwich, UK) was a Principal Investigator for aerosol optical measurements. Dr. Rosie Chance from the same institution operated a sunphotometer onboard.
