2010 RV Knorr Cruise
 

RV Knorr

R/V Knorr is a research vessel owned by the U.S. Navy and operated by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. The cruise took place in May - June 2010.The cruise area included the Western North Atlantic Ocean within the framework of the ANACONDAS project. Eighteen (18) measurement series spanning twelve (12) days were acquired during the cruise.

Dr. Joaquim Goes from the Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences (West Boothbay Harbor, Maine, USA) was a Principal Investigator for aerosol optical depth measurements and operated sunphotometer onboard. Dr. J.I.Goes was part of a 39 member NSF funded team of USA and international scientists investigating Amazon iNfluence on the Atlantic: CarbOn export from Nitrogen fixation by DiAtom Symbioses (ANACONDAS).
