MARITIME AEROSOL NETWORK (MAN)
 
2011 EV Nautilus Cruise
 

The Exploration Vessel Nautilus is a 64-meter research vessel based in Yalikavak, Turkey, owned and operated by the Ocean Exploration Trust. The cruise took place in July-November 2011. The cruise area included Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea and coastal areas in the Atlantic Ocean. One-hundred twenty-three (123) measurement series spanning seventy-two (72) days were acquired during the cruise.

Dr. Chris Roman from Graduate School of Oceanography at the University of Rhode Island (Narragansett, Rhode Island) was a Principal Investigator for aerosol optical depth measurements. A team of the Educators at Sea (Jennifer Argenta, Meg Blitzer, Denice Cronin, Cory Culbertson, Dara Dawson, Debra Duffy, Sam Garson, Randy Laurence, Katrina Linthrost-Homan, Charles Lockert, Emily Lovejoy, David Low, DeAndra Ludwig, Thomas Menditto, Martin Momsen, Sharon Pearson, Tiffany Risch, Krystal Waltman, Amy O’Neal) operated sunphotometer onboard.
