The Exploration Vessel Nautilus is a 64-meter research vessel based in Yalikavak, Turkey, owned and operated by the Ocean Exploration Trust. The cruise took place in July-September 2012. The cruise area included Black and Mediterranean Seas. Eighty-seven (87) measurement series spanning forty-seven (47) days were acquired during the cruise.
Dr. Chris Roman from Graduate School of Oceanography at the University of Rhode Island (Narragansett, Rhode Island) was the Principal Investigator for aerosol optical depth measurements. A team of the Educators at Sea operated a sunphotometer onboard.
