MARITIME AEROSOL NETWORK (MAN)
 
2008 RV Polarstern Cruise
 

R/V Polarstern belongs to the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research ( Bremerhaven, Germany). The cruise took place in April - May 2008. The cruise area included an Atlantic transect from Punta Arenas, Chile to Bremerhaven. Five-hundred ninety-one (591) measurement series spanning 30 days were acquired during the cruise.

Professor Dr. Andreas Macke from Leibniz Institute of Marine Sciences ( Kiel, Germany) was a Chief Scientist. Dr. Stefan Kinne from Max Planck Institute for Meteorology ( Hamburg, Germany) conducted aerosol optical depth measurements.
