MARITIME AEROSOL NETWORK (MAN)
 
2013 RV Trans Future 5 Cruise
 

The volunteer observation ship MS Transfuture 5 services the area between New Zealand, Australia and Japan. The cruise took place in March 2013. The cruise area included a Pacific transect from New Zealand to Japan. Sixty-eight (68) measurement series spanning six days were acquired during the cruise.

Dr. Mike Harvey from National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (Wellington, New Zealand) was the Principal Investigator for aerosol optical measurements. Mr. Antony Bromley from the same institution operated a sun photometer onboard.

Acknowledgement
These measurements on the Trans Future 5 volunteer observing ship have been made possible through collaboration between the National Institute of Environmental Studies, Tsukuba, Japan in conjunction with the Toyofuji Shipping Company, and the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research, Wellington, New Zealand.
