NOAA Ronald H. Brown

R/V Ronald H. Brown is owned and operated by the United States of America, Department of Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The cruise took place in July - August 2009 within the framework of the trans-Atlantic Aerosol and Ocean Science Expeditions (AEROSE) project. The cruise area included latitudinal and longitudinal transects in the Tropical Atlantic. Two hundred eighty two (282) measurement series spanning 17 days were acquired during the cruise.

Dr. Everett Joseph from the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Howard University (Washington, DC) and Dr. Nicholas Nalli from NOAA/NESDIS (Camp Springs, Maryland, USA) were Principal Investigators for aerosol optical depth measurements. Mr. Adrian Flores from Howard University operated sunphotometer onboard.
