R/V Antea is the oceanographic research vessel owned by France (Institut de Recherche pour le Developpement- IRD). The cruise took place in October - November 2009. The cruise area in the South Indian Ocean included the region in the Mozambique Channel. Eighty-seven (87) measurement series spanning 18 days were acquired during the cruise.
Mr. Yann Courcoux from L'Observatoire de Physique de l'Atmosphere de la Reunion, (OPAR) at the Université de la Reunion/ CNRS (Saint Denis de la Reunion, France) was a Principal Investigator for aerosol optical measurements and Mr. Jean-Francois Ternon from IRD conducted measurements onboard.
