MARITIME AEROSOL NETWORK (MAN)
 
2012 RV Atlantis Cruise
 

The RV Atlantis is owned by the U.S. Navy and operated by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) for the oceanographic community. Aerosol optical depth measurements were undertaken during the NSF funded ANACONDAS project cruise to the Amazon River Plume onboard the RV Atlantis in July of 2012. Forty-five (45) measurement series spanning thirteen (13) days were acquired.

Measurement efforts were led by Principal Investigator Dr. Joaquim Goes (Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University) and also involved the participation of Dr. Helga do Rosario Gomes (Lamont Doherty).
