RV Challenger is a commercial vessel. The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) funded its operation during this data collection campaign. The cruise took place in March 2011. The cruise area included coastal waters off south –eastern Tasmania. Thirty-three (33) measurement series spanning 6 days were acquired during the cruise.
Dr. Thomas Schroeder from CSIRO was the Principal Investigator of aerosol optical depth measurements and operated a sunphotomter onboard.
