The Royal Research Ship Discovery belongs to Natural Environment Research Council of the UK. The cruise took place in February-March of 2011 within the framework of the UK GEOTRACES programme. The cruise area included the region in the Tropical Atlantic. Fifty-four (54) measurement series spanning 27 days were acquired during the cruise.
Dr. Alex Baker from the University of East Anglia (Norwich, UK) was a Principal Investigator for aerosol optical measurements. Dr. Rosie Chance from the same institution operated a sunphotometer onboard.
