The Royal Research Ship Discovery belongs to Natural Environment Research Council of the UK. The cruise took place in October-November of 2011 within the framework of the AMT project. The cruise area included an Atlantic transect from British Isles to Punta Arenas, Chile. Thirty-seven (37) measurement series spanning twenty (20) days were acquired during the cruise.
Dr. Tim Smyth from Plymouth Marine Laboratory (Plymouth, UK) was a Principal Investigator for aerosol optical measurements and Dr. Chris Gallienne operated the sun photometer onboard.
