2009 RRS Discovery Cruise
 

RRS Discovery

The Royal Research Ship Discovery belongs to Natural Environment Research Council of the UK. The cruise took place in April-May of 2009 within the framework of the SOLAS project. The cruise area in the Subtropical and Tropical Atlantic included the region between Tenerife and Cap Blanc. Ninety-eight (98) measurement series spanning 31 day were acquired during the cruise.

Dr. Tim Smyth from Plymouth Marine Laboratory (Plymouth, UK) was a Principal Investigator for aerosol optical measurements and operated sun photometer onboard.
