MARITIME AEROSOL NETWORK (MAN)
 
2011 KAUST Explorer Cruise
 

Research Vessel KAUST Explorer belongs to the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Measurements were taken during various short cruises in scope of research activities of the Red Sea Research Center. The cruise area included the Red Sea and coastal areas. Eighty-five (85) measurement series spanning 37 days were acquired during those cruises.

Dr. Georgiy Stenchikov from the Earth Sciences and Engeneering Program within the Division of Physical Sciences and Engineering , King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) was a Principal Investigator for aerosol optical depth measurements. Mr. Pedro De La Torre from the Marine Sciences Program within the Division of Chemical, Life Sciences and Engineering at KAUST conducted measurements onboard.
