R/V Marcus G. Langseth

The oceanographic Research Vessel Marcus G. Langseth belongs to the National Science Foundation and operated by Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University. The cruise took place in January - March 2009. The cruise area included the Tropical Pacific- the Lau basin area. Thirty (30) measurement series spanning 20 days were acquired during the cruise.

Dr. Robert Dunn from the University of Hawaii was a Principal Investigator for aerosol optical depth measurements and Ms. Erica Emry (Washington University in St. Louis) and Ms. Michaela Conley (University of Hawaii at Manoa) operated sunphotometer onboard.
