NP Almirante Maximiano

The Polar Research Vessel Almirante Maximiano belongs to the Brazilian Navy. The cruise took place within December 2010 - April 2011 time frame. The cruise area included the region off the East Coast of South America in the Southern Atlantic and off the Antarctica coast in the Southern Ocean. Fifty (50) measurement series spanning 24 days were acquired during the cruise.

Dr. Heitor Evangelista from Rio de Janeiro State University (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) was the Principal Investigator for optical depth measurements and Ms. Elaine Alves operated a sunphotometer onboard.
