2011 RV Melville Cruise
 

RV Melville

R/V Melville is a research vessel operated by Scripps Institution of Oceanography. The cruise took place in February - March 2011. The cruise area included a transect across Southern Atlantic from Cape Town (South Africa) to South America and in the Southern Pacific to Valparaiso (Chile). Twenty-nine (29) measurement series spanning 5 days were acquired.

Dr. Robert Frouin from Scripps Institution of Oceanography was the Chief Scientist and Principal Investigator for aerosol optical depth measurements. Mr.Joseph Becker from Framingham State University (Framingham, Massachusets) helped with the data acquisition.
