The R/V Meteor is owned by the Federal Republic of Germany and is operated by the University of Hamburg. The cruise took place in March - April 2012. The cruise area included the region in the Northern Atlantic. Twenty-two (22) measurement series spanning 6 days were acquired during the cruise.
Dr. Stefan Kinne from Max Planck Institute for Meteorology ( Hamburg, Germany) was the Principal Investigator for optical depth measurements. Ms. Alexandra Roth, volunteer to the German Weather Service (DWD), operated a sunphotometer onboard.
