MARITIME AEROSOL NETWORK (MAN)
 
2012 RV Meteor Cruise
 

The R/V Meteor is owned by the Federal Republic of Germany and is operated by the University of Hamburg. The cruise took place in September - October 2012. The cruise area included a latitudinal transect in North Atlantic Ocean. Five hundred thirty nine (539) measurement series spanning 26 days were acquired during the cruise.

Dr. Stefan Kinne from Max Planck Institute for Meteorology ( Hamburg, Germany) was the Principal Investigator for optical depth measurements. Mr. Akio Hansen and Mr. Heiner-Matthias Brueck (m, Department of Meteorology at the University of Hamburg) operated a sunphotometer onboard.
