The R/V Meteor is owned by the Federal Republic of Germany and is operated by the University of Hamburg. The cruise took place in April - May 2013. The cruise area included a latitudinal transect in Tropical Atlantic. Six hundred fifty five (655) measurement series spanning 24 days were acquired during the cruise.
Dr. Stefan Kinne from Max Planck Institute for Meteorology ( Hamburg, Germany) was the Principal Investigator for optical depth measurements. Dr. Gaby Raedel from the same institution operated a sunphotometer onboard.
