The NOAA ship Okeanos Explorer is known as “America’s ship for ocean exploration”. The cruise took place in July – August 2012. The cruise area included the area off the east coast of the US in the North Atlantic Ocean. Seventeen (17) measurement series spanning 9 days were acquired during the cruise.
Dr. Adam Skarke from NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration and Resarch (Durham, NH) was the Principal Investigator for optical depth measurements and operated a sunphotometer onboard.
