The NOAA ship Okeanos Explorer is known as America’s ship for ocean exploration. The cruise took place in August of 2013. The cruise area included the area off the east coast of the US in the North Atlantic Ocean. Five measurement series spanning 4 days were acquired during the cruise.
Ms. Elizabeth (Meme) Lobecker from NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration and Research (Durham, NH) was the Principal Investigator for optical depth measurements and Mr. Nikolai Pawlenko, Ensign on NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer operated a sunphotometer onboard.
