2013 NOAA Ron Brown Cruise

R/V Ronald H. Brown is owned and operated by the United States of America, Department of Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The cruise took place in July - October 2013 within the framework of the Variability and predictability of the ocean-atmosphere system (CLIVAR) project. The cruise area included latitudinal and longitudinal transects in the Northern and Tropical Atlantic. Forty-four (44) measurement series spanning 25 days were acquired during the cruise.

Dr. Norm Nelson from Earth Research Institute at the University of California (Santa Barbara, California) was the Principal Investigator for optical depth measurements. Mr. Erik Stassinos and Mr. Eli Aghassi from the same institution operated a sunphotometer onboard.
