The volunteer observation ship MS Trans Future 5 services the area between New Zealand, Australia and Japan. The cruise took place in October - November 2009. The cruise area included a Pacific transect from Nelson, NZ to Japan. Sixty-one (61) measurement series spanning 11 days were acquired during the cruise.
Dr. Mike Harvey and Mr. Antony Bromley from National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (Wellington, New Zealand) were Principal Investigators for aerosol optical measurements. Mr. Gordon Brailsford from the same institution operated sun photometer onboard.
