Description:

- The Astronomical Complex El Leoncito (CASLEO) was formally established in May 1983 as a National Astronomical Center providing services to the community through an agreement between the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) and the National Universities of La Plata, Cordoba and San Juan. It is placed in the San Juan Province close to the Andes mountain Range in an Astronomical Reserve of 70’000 hectares to preserve the sky quality.
