Image 1 Image 2   Site Coordinates and Elevation: Latitude: 21.80200° North Longitude: 39.72890° East Elevation: 254.0 Meters Site Description: This is a temporary site in Saudi Arabia managed by FMI. The activity is related to an aerosol measurement campaign "Characterization of Regional and Urban Aerosols in the Western Side of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a Focus on Dust Particles". Measurement period will be October/2012 - April/2015. The sunphotometer is situated in a background location, about 65 km east of the city of Jeddah. The site is an experimental farm for scientific studies owned by the King Abdulaziz University (KAU). No local sources are known to affect the site.
