Site Coordinates and Elevation:

  • Latitude: 62.66306° South
  • Longitude: 60.38944° West
  • Elevation: 5.0 Meters

Site Description:

  • The site is located in the Spanish Antarctic Base Juan Carlos I, in Livingston Island (South Shetland Islands). The photometer is collocated with the meteorological station run by AEMET. The area is pristine with no pollution sources. Parts of Livingston Island are designated as Antarctic Specially Protected Areas (ASPA).
