Image 1 Image 2   Site Coordinates and Elevation: Latitude: 64.24000° South Longitude: 56.62524° West Elevation: 200.0 Meters Site Description: This sunphotometer has been installed at Base Vicecomodoro Marambio (1500 km South of Ushuaia city), Argentine Antarctica, in February 2008 to obtain data during Southern Hemisphere summer. It is located at the Scientific Wing of the Servicio Meteorológico Nacional and the Dirección Nacional del Antártico, amongst other instruments that are also sensing the atmosphere, and it is expected to obtain the largest amount of atmospheric data possible, in those latitudes.
