Image 1 Image 2   Site Coordinates and Elevation: Latitude: 5.84150° South Longitude: 35.19950° West Elevation: 40.0 Meters Site Description: The Sun photometer is installed on the roof of the School for Science and Technology (ECT) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), located in southern part of the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The building is close to the main Campus road and to the forest “Parque das Dunas”, a natural barrier based on sand dunes between the Atlantic Ocean and the University Campus. The distance to the coast is 2.0 km in straight line. In addition, an elastic-polarizing LIDAR system is located at 200m distance from the Sun photometer, also at the university Campus and run by the same group.
