Description:
|
- The photometer is installed at the modified CIMEL tripod fixed to concrete 1 x 1 x 0,5 m platform, the platform is very stiff and stable. The FOV of the photometer is clear, no building in the surrounding. The FOV is limited by a surrounding mountains (Andes) E-W direction, the distance to the very far (tens of kilometrs), less than approx. 5 deg above the horizon. Now building till the CTA construction campaign (Q2 2017 ?). The nearest town - Antofagasta - approx 100 km (behind the mountains (site altitude 2200 m - Antofagasta 0m) Landmark - ESO - Paranal - West direction (approx 15 km) The ESO Paranal has strick light pollution policy due to operation of VLT telescopes at Cerro Paranal.
