Description:

- The site is 114 miles east of San Diego. The nearest town is Salton City, which is 12 miles to the north. The site is 1.5 miles to the west of the Salton Sea, and is directly to the west (and in general downwind) of the Anza Desert. The main aerosol type is mineral, although aerosols from nearby agricultural activity may also be present.
