Site Description
The instrument is located on a table atop the roof of the Atmospheric Research Observatory (ARO), the building that houses the NOAA/ESRL baseline observatory "SPO" at Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, Antarctica. ARO is approximately 1/2 kilometer upwind of the main station complex; the station itself is roughly 1400 kilometers from any other anthropogenic influences.
