Site Index
Taylor Wilderness Research Station AERONET site with assistant site manager Wren, October, 2020.
TWRS, located on the banks of Big Creek and surrounded by the Salmon River Mountains in central Idaho, represents the largest wilderness area in the lower 48 states. As such, the biological and geophysical processes operating in this large complex natural ecosystem provides a unique laboratory to monitor fundamental parameters, assess gradients and model the evolving stresses imposed by climate change.
