Site Description:
  • The photometer is situated on the roof of the Delegation of AEMET in Zaragoza, the region of Aragon. Zaragoza is situated on the Ebro River near the centre of the region, in a valley with a variety of landscapes, ranging from desert (Los Monegros) to thick forest, meadows and mountains. Zaragoza has drier summers and winters, and wetter springs and autumns. The temperatures are high in summer reaching up to 40 °C and in winter are low (usually 0 to 10 °C) either because of the fog (about 20 days from November to January) or a cold and dry wind blowing from the NW, the Cierzo
