The view is looking head on to Cimel with the collocated TSP pyranometer behind it on a slightly elevated platform. The direction viewed is 200degrees or SSW. Although the TSP is never in direct line of site of the CIMEL, any 360 degree scan when airmass values are extremely large (sun approaching the horizon) may be influenced.

Site Description:
  • The site is in the center of Jaipur at the Birla Institute of Technology. It sits on a platform at the very top of the building collocated with a broadband radiometer. Major sources of pollution are local traffic emissions, dust transport from the Thar Desert.
