Image 1 - n/a Image 2 - n/a Image 1 Image 2   Site Coordinates and Elevation: Latitude: 17.87720° North Longitude: 102.71671° East Elevation: 175.0 Meters Site Description: The site is on the roof of the Nongkhai Hydrological Office about 30 m from the East bank of the Mekong River and about 20 km south of Vientiane, Laos. The region is largely agriculture (rice among other crops) and the area relatively flat south of the Mekong and very mountainous to the north. There is considerable river commerce but the regional haze is primarily due to biomass burning.
