Image 1 Image 2   Site Coordinates and Elevation: Latitude: 13.77668° North Longitude: 8.99023° East Elevation: 456.0 Meters Site Description: The instrument is located in the semi-arid Sahelian zone, on the pathway of dust transport from Saharan and Sahelian sources, nearby the city of Zinder (300,000 inhabitants) which is situated 900 km east from Niamey and 100 km north of the border with Nigeria. The station is installed in a field close to the airport, south of the city. This field is cultivated only during the rainy season (from June to October).
