AERONET Instrument Troubleshooting Interface - Solutions for TOO MANY RESETS Flag
Description The Model T control box logs each time it restarts. An occasional reset is normal, but frequent self-resets indicate the instrument is losing and recovering power repeatedly. This is most often caused by a degraded battery that can no longer sustain the load, a solar panel that is not supplying sufficient charge, or corroded or loose battery connections that intermittently drop below the minimum operating voltage. (Model T only.)
Solution Level 1 (< 5 minutes) This can happen if the battery can no longer hold charging capacity, solar panel is not putting out correct voltage due to damage or dirt, or poor connections. 1. Check power connections to the control box, check for corrosion to the battery terminals or loose connections. See External battery connections Model T 2. Check the control box to verify power.
